After completing his studies in finance and marketing in London and New York, Istanbul-born designer Barlas Baylar founded Hudson Furniture in 2004. The brand draws inspiration from the blend of modern architecture and classic Art Deco motifs to create original and sophisticated lighting fixtures and furniture pieces.
From the elegant spherical glass elements that form the core of the Valiant collection of light fixtures to the sculptural metallic branches that wrap around the Meta buffet, Barlas Baylar creates unique furniture that elevates any space. Over the years, Hudson Furniture has collaborated with renowned companies such as Tommy Hilfiger, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Tom Ford, and many others.
A standout piece in Hudson Furniture’s refined collection is the Atlantis chandelier, designed for the Italian brand Terzani. The mesmerizing flickering light emanating from hundreds of cascading threads creates a remarkable organic effect. Atlantis simultaneously evokes the imagery of a fantastical ship and a waterfall.
The Mille dining table surprises with its unconventional construction. Comprised of numerous plates of varying sizes, it leaves an impression of incompleteness due to the lack of smooth transitions yet achieves a sense of absolute harmony. The plates, finished in elegant black lacquer, contrast beautifully with the polished metal elements, giving the table a luxurious and distinctive appearance.
Hudson Furniture also actively develops its projects in public interiors. The brand designs spaces for restaurants, hotels, and flagship stores, where Hudson furniture becomes integral to the overall design and atmosphere.
Hudson Furniture deserves recognition as a reputable furniture manufacturer that offers functional and stylish products and the opportunity to create unique interiors tailored to individual tastes.
