The Sancal brand was founded by Santiago Castaño in 1973. Initially, the company had just three employees: Santiago himself, his wife, and his brother. By deciding to leave a profitable position to focus on furniture production, Santiago made the right choice. Today, the company is managed by the founder's daughter, Esther. The small studio Estudio Sancal, led by her and Elena Castaño, has become a multifaceted creative laboratory undertaking graphic, interior, and industrial design projects from scratch.
