VISIONNAIRE

Luxury, style, and quality are the hallmarks of Visionnaire. This Italian furniture brand is known and loved worldwide for its incredible ability to create unconventional, unique projects of the highest caliber for the most discerning clients. The brand's name was not chosen by chance: its founders, the Cavalli brothers, Pompeo and Vittorio, were true dreamers. Visionnaire doesn't just decorate rooms; it aims to enhance the lives of its clients, filling them with beauty, comfort, and joy.

Visionnaire is the driving force of the meta-luxury segment of Italian design and a key brand of the IPE company, whose history began in 1959 in Bologna, northern Italy. The Cavalli family were revolutionaries in spirit, striving to create something entirely new and unlike others. For instance, they used polyurethane as a filling for upholstered furniture, changing the engineering approach and aesthetic component. Two years later, at the Fiera Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, they presented the Mercury armchair, designed by sculptor Rito Valla, renowned for his "fluid" soft furniture. Today, Mercury is considered a masterpiece of furniture art and studied in universities by designers and architects as the benchmark model.

2005 marked the emergence of the Visionnaire brand's offshoot, a true haute couture in the world of furniture. According to Eleonora Cavalli, the granddaughter of the founders and the brand's art director, each item in the collection is a vivid, distinctive character with its own unique style and personality. Bestselling models like the Ginevra and Avalon sofas remain popular even to this day.

At the same time, Visionnaire strives to reinterpret the concept of luxury anew each time. That's why the brand constantly adds new names to the team of designers they collaborate with. Giuseppe Vigano, Habio Bonfa, Alessandro La Spada, Mauro Lipparini, Marco Piva, and Armando Bruno – all of them have contributed to the development of exclusive Visionnaire collections. The company boasts a rich selection of diverse materials: precious wood species, silk, velvet, marble, jute, and bamboo, with which designers craft high fashion in furniture.

In 2019, the company celebrated its 60th anniversary with a landmark participation in the Milan Salone del Mobile exhibition, just as it did many years ago at the beginning of its journey. The brand showcased the Mythica collection, developed by close friends and designers of the house: Alessandro La Spada, Mauro Lipparini, Draga&Aurel, and m2atelier. Through the prism of ancient myths and legends, Visionnaire sought to redefine everyday life and rituals, giving them a special resonance to transform the home into a sanctuary for the body and soul.
